Robert L. "Bob" Crouser, age 75, of Cincinnati, Ohio; passed away at Covenant Village in Cincinnati on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 5:10 am. Bob was born on May 15, 1942 in St.Louis, Missouri and is the son of Henry and Claira Brock Crouser. He attended local schools in St. Louis and graduated from High School. He entered and served his country in the United States Navy where he served on the USS Randolph during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Bob married Lucy I. VanRiper Tomlin on February 14, 1992 in Chicago, Illinois and she is currently surviving. Bob was trained and served his career as a corporate pilot for a number of Corporations to include U.S. Bank. He loved fishing and the outdoors and spent much of his time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Lucy Crouser of Cincinnati, OH, and his two sons, Eric Crouser in Portland, Oregon and Scott Crouser. Two daughters, Dana and Vickie are surviving. His step daughter Chris Stockelman (Jeff Sheppard) survives of Cincinnati, Ohio. There are four grandsons, Matthew Bielser, Patrick Stockelman, Bradley Tomlin, and Zachary Stockelman; three granddaughters, Jennifer, Rebeccah, and Elly; and one great granddaughter, Janiyah.
His family plans visitation and plans to receive friends at the funeral home from Noon to 2:00 pm prior to the funeral service.
A funeral service and military honors for Bob is planned for Monday, September 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Cremation will then be accorded. A memorial fund is being established for ALS Foundation.
